BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 350-300 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.58 g, 11 h), signed by Ai.... Eagle with spread wings standing left on olive branch, its head raised; below, AI. Rev. KPO Tripod with three handles, volutes below the bowl and legs ending in lion's paws; in field to right, Δ. Attianese 116. HGC 1, 1464. HN Italy 2172. SNG ANS 366 (same dies). Attractively toned. The obverse struck slightly off center and the reverse weakly struck, otherwise, very fine.
